It's come to that: Voting.
Oct. 14th, 2004 07:24 pmI used to say, sardonically, that I didn't vote-- because it only encourages them. I'm not so sure we make any difference when we vote; much of national politics seems like kabuki theater to me, with ritualized movements and dialogue understood by a knowing audience, but incomprehensible to, or meant to deceive and persuade, a larger one.
Then we had the last election. Groan. Even if it makes 1/5,500,000th of a difference, it's time to vote.
Okay..... I make lists for everything, so here's a list for this too:
1) Register (done)
2) Figure out what the issues are and who is running for what in Alamance county
3) Choose.
4) Vote.
All right out there... when you vote, assuming you do, how do you tackle the second and third task?
