Clinicals are coming

We had our first clinical education meeting. I didn't think the meeting was particularly well run, but I did get some good information about the actual nature of clinicals. I must have at least six weeks of experience in the following practice settings:
- Acute care, ICU, and critical care
- Rehabilitation
- Ambulatory/Outpatient rehab
And at least six weeks of experience in the following practice areas:
- Musculoskeletal
- Neuromuscular
- Integumentary
- Cardiopulmonary
And at least six weeks of experience with each of the following age groups:
13-21 years
22-65 years
65 and older
And most settings won't let you spend six weeks here, six weeks there to get all of it in.
So hmm. Given that I know I want to do my first clinical in an outpatient orthopedic setting in Nebraska (because there's a really good instructor there who teaches a really interesting method of therapy)... that makes the next clinical an exercise in packing together all the things I would like to get over with, so that I can spend the final clinical doing things that are not-so-bad.
So let's see...
First clinical: outpatient orthopedic.
Second clinical: neurological care in an acute care/ICU setting, preferably with some wound care (integument) thrown in. (I am not a fan of hospitals. I will do all of the not-so-pleasant-to-me items at once and get it over with.)
Third clinical: rehabilitation and the 65-and-older population (this means a skilled nursing facility).
This leaves me worried that I won't have enough experience to work in an outpatient orthopedic clinic once I graduate, but I expect I will deal with that problem when I get to it.
