Kickin' it with Ivan
Sep. 17th, 2004 01:53 pmIvan is here. (I don't really know, anymore, whether Ivan qualifies as a tropical storm or is still a hurricane.) In any case, I'm impressed; I'm sitting inside, watching rain go sideways outside... hard rain, that soaks the screens and rattles the windows with force and authority.
If I were smart, I'd stay home. Apparently I'm not smart, because I'm off to buy a printer now. ;-)
Now for a complete change of subject:
I got a 90% on the Dreaded Friday Orthopedics Quiz. Not bad.
Given that I prepared well ahead of time for the quiz, and then did well, I think I draw the following conclusion from that:
- It's likely best to do the reading ahead of time.
- And to go home each day after lecture and answer the objectives covered in that lecture.
- And to go home each day and write down a written description of the lab competencies covered that day in lab.
- If I'm tired on Thursday night, it's much more reasonable to go to bed at 10 PM, get up at 5 AM, and study until I have to leave at 8:40 than it is to try to stay up late and force information into my protesting brain.
