Yesterday's lab (gross again)

More and more, I find that yesterday's anatomy lab disturbs me.
I held a leg and tried to pull it wide, and my lab mate held the other leg and tried to pull _it_ wide, so that someone else could saw the cadaver in half, starting at the genitals and moving up lengthwise.
There were were definite overtones of torture and sex and helplessness.
Yech!
I know it was a cadaver and didn't feel anything. I still have a hard time with it: it was enough like nasty, sexualized torture that it really bugs me that I participated (even though I was required to). I never want to do that to any body ever again, whether it is dead or not.
