I took PT Skills I and PT Skills II exams today.

PT Skills I: The instructor has been in italy chaperoning a high school choir. (Rough life. ;-) Accordingly, she did her lecturing and practicals early, then left us to the tender mercies of the ICU lecturer. Her quiz on the ICU (what are those lines, leads, and tubes, and what do they do, and what might go wrong, and what do you do then*) got posted online by the sysadmin while she was gone.

This instructor has a well-known track record of reusing quiz questions as test questions. And she's been gone, so she might not have had lots of time to make new test questions. I got smart and printed copies of the quizzes (there were four) when I took them, so I mainly studied for the final by reviewing those.

I was right. Most of the test was recycled quiz questions. Score one for me. ;-)

PT Skills II: This is the professional note writing and modalities class. (How to write medical notes so that other practitioners know what you did, you know what you did, your notes will stand up in court, and insurers will pay for therapy; how and when to apply ice, heat, ultrasound, massage, etc.) Last test, I assumed that note writing could not be studied for, and you either knew it or not. This test, I studied the note writing. ;-)

I don't know how I did. I won't know until I start the next term. But at least they are over.
