So, I think I have a complete lack of willpower around food. R and N have junk food in their refrigerator. Result: I eat it, because I'm here and it's here. Hmm, do I _really_ need to eat hot fudge sauce straight from the jar today?
No. I can't even remotely rationalize that one. I don't care what refrigerator it's in, that is not good food. For anyone.
Well now. In general, I try to set up my life to make it easy to do the things that are worth doing. That means buying vegetables and cutting them up and putting them in ziploc bags (so I can grab them and leave for school). That means NOT keeping junk food at home. That's good as far as it goes, but that whole system fails if you put me in a room with hot fudge sauce, or if I go out.
So fine. Let's look at the objective evidence here. I clearly do have willpower, even though I claim that I do not. (Three workouts a day does not happen without willpower. QED.) I just choose not to use my willpower where food is concerned.
Well. Now that I've copped to the fact that I do have willpower and I choose not to use it to eat right... I need to find a "baby step" way to exercise a little bit of willpower around food. (Buying a jar of hot fudge sauce and storing it in my refrigerator will only lead to tears and trouble. I need a slightly smaller step.)
I'll think about this one and probably report back.
