I got a 70% on the written portion of the anatomy test and a 74% on the practical portion. No, 70% is not passing in this program. You can probably tell, based on that score, why I am rethinking my study habits.

Back to school

Knowing you, I can imagine how frustrated you are by those grades. Hang in there. I think you're attemoting something that is very challenging, in a number of dimensions. You're going back to school as an adult, after being out for a while. You're also delving deep into a field that is completely unrelated to what you had been doing for a job for the past mumble-mumble years. That's a very tough combination, and I could imagine it's going to take a while to get your feet under you.

I have a friend who decided to start law school after years of working in high tech, and she found the first year, hell, the first semester, to be incredibly challenging. But she stuck with it, and now she's in the middle of her second year, hanging in there.

Stick with it. You're unquestionably smart enough.
And you might consider finding out who did well on the test and making fast friends with them. How are they studying? Would they like to have a study partner? :-)

Hang in there. You'll... err, umm... knock 'em dead. :-)
